Audrey Tautou born as Audrey Justine Tautou is a French actress who came in limelight after acting in female lead role in the super thriller The Da Vinci Code in 2006. She also appeared in Priceless and Coco Avent Chanel. For her excellent performance in Venus Beauty Institute, Tautou won the Cesers award for best promising actress in 1999.

Tautou was born in Auvergne for a dentist and a teacher. Since childhood Audrey Tautou had interests in acting in comedy roles. To sharpen her acting skills, Tautou took the acting classes and started learning every aspect of acting from her childhood days. After finishing her acting classes in Cours Florent, Tautou went in the acting industry and gave her outstanding performance in the French movies.

In 1998, Audrey Tautou participated in a contest that was in search of the actress with beauty and brains. Tautou won the best young actress award in the search and made her way for the successful acting career. Her win in the contest caught the eyes of Tonie Marshall who gave her the lead role in Venus Beauty Institute that brought her the Cesers award for best promising actress.

In 2001, Audrey Tautou shined in the comedy role in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. She played the role of Amelie that brought her lot acclaims from the movie lovers. Later she made her debut in Hollywood industry in 2006. She played the role of the leading lady Sophie Neveu in The Da Vinci Code and she appeared opposite Tom Hanks in this movie.

Following the success of her movies in Hollywood, Tautou acted in the role of a fashion designer in Coco chanel. While promoting the movie, she was also made the spokesmodel of Channel No.5. She replaced Nicole Kidman and accepted being the spokesmodel of Channel No.5.
